House of Representatives - District 13

I’m Cathy Connolly, a candidate for the Wyoming House of Representatives, District 13, located in Laramie. I am seeking re-election for a third two-year term in the House and hope I can count on your support on November 6, 2012. I am a progressive candidate, a Democrat, who is proud to live in our community and state, and to have served in the legislature during the 2008-12 session.  I believe in pursuing policies that enhance opportunities for our residents, maintain stewardship of our natural resources, and secure our individual and collective health and well-being. I am committed to the hard work, research, and collaboration necessary to see these ideals met.

I serve on two important standing committees:  Education, and Travel, Tourism, Wildlife and Cultural Resources (TRW).  In addition, during the past term I supported efforts to address drunk driving, increase our high school graduation rate, establish a health care pilot program and maintain funding for cancer control and prevention, increase anti-discrimination protections for all our citizens, and establish economic diversity with government transparency.  A summary of these and other issues can be seen at the website link, Letter to Constituents.
